Sandals St. Lucia news - be always the first to know
Sandals Resorts, the world’s leading luxury included resorts for two people in love, has launched an international marketing campaign to celebrate the release of Warner Bros. Pictures’ new comedy “License to Wed,” which opens in theatres nationwide on July 3, 2007. With scenes filmed on location at a Sandals-owned resort, “License to Wed” follows newly engaged Ben Murphy (John Krasinski) and Sadie Jones (Mandy Moore) who can’t wait to start their life together and live happily ever after. But first, they must pass Reverend Frank’s (Robin Williams) outrageous, “foolproof” marriage-prep course that puts their relationship to the test. Forget happily ever after—do they even have what it takes to make it to the altar? The Sandals’ “License to Wed” campaign includes an extensive television and print advertising buy, multi-media promotional outreach and complementary sales incentive. Running through July 31, 2007, the “License to Win Sweepstakes” gives U.S. and Canadian consumers a chance to win one of ten trips to any Sandals Resort. This sweepstakes is the centerpiece of a television ad buy that will appear on national cable networks, including Bravo, CNN, F/X, Oxygen and VH-1. This campaign is supported by a matching print campaign in the travel trade media that reaches Sandals’ frontline sales partners: travel agents. The campaign’s other promotional outreach includes sweepstakes partnerships with 1800FLOWERS.com; the nationally syndicated FOX morning show The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet; an online sweepstakes with the popular wedding and resource site, mywedding.com, which is mounting “The Perfect Start to the Perfect Marriage” now through July 15; a multi-city radio promotion; and a sponsored promotion by the Condé Nast Bridal Media Group (Brides, Modern Bride, Elegant Bride and brides.com) entitled “Girls Night at the Movies.” Beginning June 28 in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles “Girls Night at the Movies,” offers ladies a private screening of the movie with the chance to win the Sandals honeymoon featured in the film. Additionally, Sandals Resorts will offer a specially priced “License to Wed” bundle package to consumers. This booking incentive, designed expressly for the launch of the movie, offers a 50% savings on a romantic “bundle of services” that includes an in-room “Escapade” of chilled champagne, sprinkled rose petals, soft candlelight, a scented bubble bath and long stem rose; welcome tropical fruit platter; and signature “License to Wed” gift bag filled with goodies. This $500 value is being offer for $250 now through August 31 on bookings of six nights or longer at any Sandals Resort, and is good for travel July 1-December 20, 2007 and from January 1-December 20, 2008. “We are delighted to partner with Warner Bros. Pictures’ new comedy ‘License to Wed,’” says Maggie Rivera, Director of Public Relations for Sandals Resorts. “We have quite a bit of experience setting a luxurious stage for two young people to embark on a lifetime of love, and promoting our resort with this charming movie was a smart fit.”
